| The Internal Medicine practice at Nashua
Medical Group is designed to provide caring, personalized
and comprehensive medical care onsite from a dedicated team
of Board Certified and credentialed medical professionals.
The team comprises doctors, gastroenterologists, nurse
practitioners and physician assistants, nurses, medical
assistants, and a nutritionist. You benefit from the
collective experience and wisdom of an integrated team of
medical professionals—all in one location.
We are proudly affiliated with St. Joseph Hospital. If you are admitted to the hospital, our highly trained hospitalist team of physicians will care for you during your stay. Your primary care physician will be advised of any admissions or discharges. The hospitalist and your primary care physician will work together to provide the best possible care to meet your needs.
AppointmentsOur goal is to treat our patients with respect and courtesy. We try to stay as close to scheduled appointment times as possible and ask for your understanding if your appointment is at all delayed. The practice of medicine is unpredictable, and sometimes our schedules are interrupted due to other patient’s medical needs.
Preparing For Your Visit
Test resultsWe will contact you regarding your test results either by mail or telephone. Test results requiring any follow up, recommendations, or changes may require an office visit. Because your medical information is by law yours alone, we cannot share it with anyone other than you without written authorization.
Prescription RenewalsWhenever possible please request prescription refills during your office visits. If you require a prescription refill between appointments, please provide a 48 hour notice. If you have not been seen recently, an office visit may be required before your medication can be refilled.
Most pharmacies have an automated telephone line that you can call to request additional refills even if your prescription bottle indicates that no refills remain. Your pharmacy will fax a request or send an electronic request directly to the physician to authorize additional refills to your doctor. A call to the office is not necessary unless your pharmacy is unable to accommodate this service.
If you call the office, please be prepared with the following information when requesting a prescription refill:
1.Pharmacy name, address and phone number
2.Medication name, dosage and directions
3.Phone number where you can be reached
Prescriptions may not be refilled by phone after hours or on the weekends, so please plan accordingly.
